- HONEST ANSWERS
Frequently Asked Questions
I’ve spent almost a decade building my Enagic business and mentoring thousands of people around the world. Along the way I’ve been asked almost every question imaginable—about Enagic, Kangen Water, direct sales, the business opportunity, social media, AI, and what it actually takes to build something meaningful online. These are my honest answers based on my own experience, the company’s published information, and the questions I hear most often from people doing their research.
- The Real Story
About Brodie Salnitro
No hype. No guru story. Just the real journey.
1. What is Enagic?
Enagic is a Japanese company that has been manufacturing water ionisation systems for more than 50 years. The company is best known for its Kangen Water® machines, which are manufactured in Japan and sold through a direct sales business model rather than through traditional retail stores.
When I first came across Enagic, I wasn’t looking for a water machine—I was looking for a way to build more freedom into my life. Over time, I developed a genuine appreciation for both the products and the business model.
Like any company that’s been around for decades and has distributors around the world, you’ll find both positive and negative opinions online. That’s completely normal. My advice is simple: don’t rely on one review, one article or one YouTube video. Read broadly, ask questions, speak to people who have succeeded, speak to people who haven’t, and make an informed decision based on multiple perspectives.
That’s exactly why I built this website—to provide transparent information so you can do your own research.
2. Is Enagic a legitimate company?
Yes.
Enagic is a Japanese manufacturing company that has been operating for more than 50 years. Its Leveluk water ionisation systems are manufactured in Japan and distributed throughout dozens of countries via independent distributors.
That, however, isn’t the question most people are really asking.
What people usually want to know is:
“Is this actually a real business, or is it one of those online things that falls apart?”
After being involved with Enagic for almost a decade, my answer is simple.
Yes.
It is a real business.
But it’s still a business.
That means there are no guarantees.
Just like opening a café, becoming a real estate agent or starting a plumbing company, some people build incredible businesses, while others don’t.
The difference is rarely the compensation plan.
It’s usually the person.
The people who succeed are generally the ones who treat it like a profession. They learn communication, marketing, branding, leadership and customer service. They keep showing up long after the excitement wears off.
The people who quit often expected business ownership to feel like employment.
It doesn’t.
You don’t get paid simply because you showed up.
You get rewarded for creating value.
One of the things I’ve respected most about Enagic is that the company has stayed focused on manufacturing its products for decades rather than chasing trends.
That doesn’t mean it’s the right opportunity for everyone.
But if you’re researching Enagic, I encourage you to study both the products and the business model thoroughly, speak to people who have built successful businesses and people who didn’t, and make an informed decision based on facts rather than headlines.
3. Is Enagic a pyramid scheme?
3. Is Enagic a pyramid scheme?
This is probably the most common question people ask.
The short answer is no.
A pyramid scheme generally involves people paying money primarily for the right to recruit others, without genuine products being sold to end customers. Pyramid schemes are illegal in most countries.
Enagic, on the other hand, sells physical products that customers choose to purchase. The business opportunity exists alongside those products through a direct sales compensation model.
That doesn’t automatically mean it’s the right opportunity for everyone. Like any business, success depends on whether you’re willing to learn new skills, consistently put in the work, and genuinely help other people make informed decisions.
I always encourage people to understand how the compensation plan works before getting involved rather than relying on headlines or opinions from either extreme.
4. How does the Enagic business model actually work?
At its core, Enagic operates using a direct sales business model.
Instead of spending enormous amounts on television advertising, retail stores or supermarket shelf space, the company chooses to reward independent distributors who introduce customers to its products.
If someone purchases through your referral, commissions may be paid according to Enagic’s published compensation plan.
That’s the mechanics.
But it doesn’t explain why some people build extraordinary businesses while others never make a sale.
The real business isn’t selling water machines.
The real business is becoming the kind of person people trust.
Over the years I’ve watched complete beginners learn skills that completely changed their confidence and careers.
Inside my community, people learn things like:
- Personal branding
- Social media marketing
- AI tools and automation
- Sales conversations
- Public speaking
- Content creation
- Leadership
- Communication
- Relationship building
- Mindset and consistency
Those skills don’t just apply to Enagic.
They’re transferable skills that are valuable in almost any modern business.
That’s why I tell people they shouldn’t join because they’re excited today.
They should join because they’re willing to become somebody different over the next few years.
Whether someone decides to build a serious business or simply enjoys owning the products is entirely their choice.
Both are perfectly valid.
The opportunity exists for those who want it.
The products exist whether someone builds the business or not.
5. How do Enagic distributors get paid?
Enagic distributors are paid according to the company’s published compensation plan when qualifying product sales are made.
There isn’t a salary, hourly wage or guaranteed income.
Like any commission-based business, earnings depend on factors such as the amount of work someone puts in, the skills they develop, how consistently they show up and whether customers decide to purchase products.
Some people choose to simply own the products and never build the business at all. Others decide to treat it like a serious long-term business and invest years developing themselves.
Everyone’s journey is different, and no one should expect identical results.
If you’re researching the opportunity, I recommend taking the time to understand the compensation plan directly rather than relying solely on social media opinions.
6. Why do some people call Enagic a scam?
This is probably one of the questions I’m asked most often.
The short answer?
Because people have very different experiences with the company and the business opportunity.
Enagic has been manufacturing water ionisers in Japan for more than 50 years and operates in dozens of countries around the world. It’s a legitimate company with real products, real customers and a direct sales business model.
That doesn’t mean every distributor succeeds.
Like opening a café, becoming a real estate agent or starting any other business, some people build successful businesses while others don’t.
In my experience, there are a few common reasons people leave negative reviews.
Some expected results much faster than reality.
Some never fully learnt the products.
Some underestimated how much personal growth, communication and marketing skill it takes to build any business.
And some simply decided it wasn’t the right fit for them.
That’s okay.
Not every business is for every person.
I also think it’s important to acknowledge that some people genuinely had a poor experience, whether that was because of the person who introduced them, unrealistic expectations or other circumstances.
Those experiences shouldn’t be ignored.
But they also don’t tell the whole story.
If you’re researching Enagic, my advice is simple:
Read both sides.
Read the criticism.
Read the positive experiences.
Watch interviews with people who’ve built businesses over many years.
Watch interviews with customers who simply love the products.
Then make your own decision based on the widest range of information you can find—not just the loudest opinions.
One thing I’ve learnt after nearly a decade in this industry is this:
The people who built something meaningful and the people who quit after a few weeks often describe the exact same opportunity in completely different ways.
That’s why I believe it’s worth understanding where someone’s opinion comes from before deciding how much weight to give it.
7. Why are Kangen Water machines considered expensive?
This is probably one of the first questions almost everyone asks.
When people first see the price, they’re usually comparing a Kangen Water machine to a standard household water filter.
I don’t think that’s a fair comparison.
A basic water filter is designed to filter water.
An Enagic Leveluk machine filters the water first, then uses Japanese electrolysis technology to produce five different types of water, each designed for different uses around your home.
It becomes your:
- drinking water system
- cooking water system
- coffee and tea water
- beauty water for skin and hair
- hypochlorous acid generator (when used according to Enagic’s instructions)
- alkaline cleaning water for kitchens, grease and household cleaning
In other words…
You’re not buying one product.
You’re buying a premium Japanese appliance designed to replace and simplify multiple products people already use every day.
Another reason for the price is how the machines are built.
Enagic has been manufacturing water ionisation systems in Japan for more than 50 years. The machines use high-quality platinum-coated titanium electrode plates, are built for long-term daily use and come with manufacturer warranties depending on the model.
Like any premium appliance, there are cheaper alternatives.
There are also cheaper cars, cheaper coffee machines and cheaper refrigerators.
Whether they’re better value depends on what you’re actually comparing.
Here’s how I personally look at it.
I don’t ask,
“How much does it cost?”
I ask,
“How many times will my family use this over the next 10 or 20 years?”
For us, the answer is…
Every single day.
We drink from it.
We cook with it.
We wash our fruit and vegetables with it.
We use the different water settings around the home.
When you look at the machine through that lens, it becomes much easier to understand why so many families still own and use theirs years after buying them.
Ultimately, everyone has to decide whether it’s worth the investment for their own household.
My advice is simple:
Don’t compare it to a basic water filter.
Compare it to everything it actually replaces, everything it can do and how often you’ll genuinely use it.
8. Is Enagic worth it?
I don’t think there’s one answer that applies to everyone.
Whether Enagic is “worth it” depends on what you’re actually asking.
If you’re asking whether the products are worth the investment, that’s something you’ll need to decide after understanding what the machines do, how you’ll use them and whether the features align with what you’re looking for.
If you’re asking whether the business opportunity is worth it, I’d answer it the same way I would any business.
The company provides the vehicle. The individual determines what they do with it.
I’ve met people who bought a machine purely for their home and have never had any interest in building a business.
I’ve also met people who started with no sales experience, no social media following and no business background who went on to build thriving businesses over many years.
I’ve also met people who decided it wasn’t for them.
All three experiences are real.
One thing I’ve learnt over the years is that people are generally much more motivated to leave reviews after a disappointing experience than after years of quietly enjoying a product or building a successful business. That’s true across many industries—not just this one.
It’s also worth understanding that distributors who have created significant success are required to follow strict compliance guidelines. That means they can’t simply make income promises or medical claims, even if they’re passionate about their own experience. Negative opinions online often have no such restrictions.
That’s one of the reasons I built this website.
Rather than asking you to simply trust me, I want you to hear directly from customers, business owners and leaders who have spent years with Enagic. Read the positive experiences. Read the criticism. Understand how the business model works. Then make a decision based on the widest range of information you can find.
For me personally, saying yes to Enagic changed the direction of my life—but not because I bought a machine.
It changed because I committed to learning valuable skills, surrounded myself with people who were already succeeding, stayed consistent when progress was slow and gave myself enough time to grow.
That’s why, when someone asks me whether Enagic is worth it, my answer is always the same:
The better question isn’t, “Is Enagic worth it?”
It’s, “Am I prepared to learn the skills and put in the work if I decide this is the right opportunity for me?”
9. What makes Kangen Water different?
Kangen Water® is not simply bottled alkaline water. It is freshly produced by an Enagic water-ionisation machine connected to a suitable tap-water supply.
The machine first filters the incoming water and then uses electrolysis across platinum-coated titanium plates to separate the water into different streams. The drinking settings produce electrolysed, hydrogen-rich water at approximately pH 8.5 to 9.5, while other settings produce neutral, mildly acidic, strongly acidic or strongly alkaline water for specified household purposes. Enagic describes five distinct water types rather than one universal output.
What interested me most was that one machine could produce drinking water as well as separate water settings for food preparation, beauty routines and household cleaning. That is fundamentally different from a conventional filter whose main purpose is simply to reduce selected substances in the incoming water.
There is also growing scientific interest in electrolysed reduced water and molecular hydrogen. Research reviews suggest that dissolved molecular hydrogen—not alkaline pH by itself—is the main candidate being studied for potential biological effects. However, that research should not be confused with proof that Kangen Water prevents or treats disease.
For me, the most honest description is this: Kangen Water is filtered, electrolysed water produced fresh at home in several settings, including hydrogen-rich drinking water. Whether that technology represents good value for you depends on your water source, priorities, budget and how fully you intend to use the machine.
10. Are Kangen Water machines just expensive water filters?
No. They include filtration, but describing them only as water filters leaves out their primary technology.
A conventional filter is generally designed to reduce particular substances from water. An Enagic Leveluk machine filters the incoming water and then passes it through an electrolysis chamber containing platinum-coated titanium plates. That process produces multiple water streams with different pH ranges and intended uses. Depending on the model, machines use between four and eight electrode plates and generate five water types.
That does not mean everyone will believe the price is justified. “Worth it” is a personal decision. Someone comparing the machine only with a basic benchtop filter will understandably see a large price difference. Someone assessing the ionisation technology, multiple water settings, Japanese manufacturing, warranty, ongoing use and reduced reliance on packaged household products may evaluate it differently.
I would never suggest buying one without understanding:
- what the machine does and does not do;
- whether it is suitable for your local water supply;
- the maintenance and filter-replacement requirements;
- which settings are intended for drinking;
- and which settings are strictly for external or household use.
The strongest case for the machine is not that it is a magical filter. It is that it is a premium filtration-and-electrolysis appliance designed to produce several types of water from one unit. People should assess that complete function rather than comparing it with a product that only filters water.
11. What can Kangen Water machines actually do?
One of the biggest misconceptions is that a Kangen Water machine is simply an expensive water filter.
It isn’t.
An Enagic Leveluk machine is a premium Japanese water ionisation system that first filters your tap water before using electrolysis to create five different types of water, each designed for a different purpose around your home.
1. Kangen Water® (pH 8.5–9.5)
This is the primary drinking water.
Unlike ordinary filtered water, it is freshly produced, hydrogen-rich water designed for everyday hydration, cooking, tea, coffee, soups, vegetables and food preparation.
Many people also choose it because they want to:
- reduce their reliance on bottled water
- increase their daily water intake
- drink freshly produced water at home
- enjoy water that contains dissolved molecular hydrogen, an area that continues to be researched by scientists around the world
For many families, this becomes the water they use every single day.
2. Clean Water (pH 7.0)
This is purified neutral water.
It’s commonly used for:
- baby formula
- taking medication (where neutral water is preferred)
- cooking delicate foods
- situations where you simply want high-quality filtered water without changing the pH
3. Beauty Water (pH 5.5–6.5)
Beauty Water is mildly acidic and closely matches the natural pH of healthy skin.
Many owners use it as part of their daily skincare routine because it can be used as:
- a facial rinse
- a refreshing skin mist
- a hair rinse after shampooing
Some people even replace traditional toners with Beauty Water as part of a simpler skincare routine.
4. Strong Acidic Water (approximately pH 2.5)
When produced correctly with the appropriate salt solution, this setting generates hypochlorous acid (HOCl).
Hypochlorous acid has been widely studied for its antimicrobial properties and is used in many healthcare and commercial sanitation settings.
Around the home, many owners use it for:
- kitchen benches
- bathrooms
- children’s toys
- gym equipment
- door handles
- food preparation areas
Instead of reaching for harsh chemical sprays, many families prefer producing fresh sanitising water from their own machine.
(Always follow Enagic’s operating instructions regarding production and intended uses.)
5. Strong Kangen Water (pH 11.0–11.5)
This is the strongest alkaline setting and is not for drinking.
Instead, it’s designed for cleaning.
Because highly alkaline water helps emulsify oils and grease, many people use it for:
- removing grease from stovetops
- cleaning range hoods
- washing fruit and vegetables
- lifting pesticide residue from produce
- cleaning BBQs
- removing sticky residues
- reducing the amount of chemical degreasers used around the home
It’s one of the most underrated features of the machine because many owners discover they can dramatically reduce the number of cleaning products they keep under the sink.
So what are you actually buying?
You’re not simply buying a water filter.
You’re buying one appliance capable of producing multiple types of water for drinking, cooking, skincare and household cleaning.
That’s why many owners use their machine several times every single day.
The biggest mistake I see is people buying the machine, using only one setting, and never learning what the other four are capable of.
Take the time to understand the product and you’ll quickly realise why so many families keep these machines for years.
12. Do Kangen Water Machines Cure Diseases or Medical Conditions?
This is probably one of the biggest misconceptions online.
No responsible Enagic distributor should tell you that a Kangen Water machine cures cancer, reverses disease or replaces medical advice.
It doesn’t.
A Kangen Water machine is a premium Japanese water ionisation system that filters and electrolyses your tap water. It is designed to produce different types of water for drinking, cooking, beauty and household cleaning.
What makes the conversation confusing is that there is genuine scientific interest in molecular hydrogen and electrolysed reduced water.
Researchers around the world have published studies investigating hydrogen’s potential antioxidant properties and its possible role in reducing oxidative stress. It’s an exciting area of research that continues to grow.
However…
Research into molecular hydrogen is not the same thing as proving that a household water machine cures disease.
Those are two very different conversations.
My approach has always been simple.
I will happily explain:
- how the machine works
- what each water setting is designed for
- what published research currently says
- why my family personally chooses to use one
But I won’t promise medical outcomes.
Everyone’s body is different.
Everyone’s health journey is different.
If you have a medical condition, your healthcare decisions should always be made with an appropriately qualified health professional.
I’d rather under-promise and over-deliver than make claims that simply aren’t supported.
I believe that’s the honest way to represent both the products and the company.
I will say this for me personally i’ve purchased machines for my own grandad and mum in times of need.
Why Do So Many People Keep Their Kangen Water Machines For Years?
This is actually one of my favourite questions.
Because once someone understands what the machine actually does, it becomes obvious why so many families keep them.
Most people don’t just use the machine for drinking water.
They use it throughout the entire house.
Every single day.
Drinking
Many owners replace bottled water entirely and use freshly produced Kangen Water for:
- drinking
- tea
- coffee
- cooking
- soups
- smoothies
- washing fruit and vegetables
Beauty
Instead of buying multiple beauty products, many people use Beauty Water as part of their daily skincare routine.
Common uses include:
- facial rinses
- skin refreshing
- hair rinses
- replacing traditional toners
Cleaning
The Strong Kangen Water setting helps lift oils and grease, making it useful for cleaning kitchens, BBQs, rangehoods and other household surfaces.
Many owners find themselves using significantly fewer chemical degreasers around the home.
Sanitising
When produced correctly according to Enagic’s instructions, the Strong Acidic Water setting can generate hypochlorous acid for certain household sanitising applications.
Many families use it on:
- kitchen benches
- bathrooms
- toys
- gym equipment
- food preparation surfaces
Sustainability
Many owners also appreciate reducing:
- bottled water purchases
- plastic waste
- multiple cleaning products
- disposable plastic spray bottles
One appliance begins replacing several products that previously filled cupboards throughout the house.
The biggest mistake people make
The biggest mistake I see is someone buying the machine and only using one setting.
They drink the water…
…but never discover everything else it can do.
Once people understand all five water types and begin using them as part of everyday life, the machine becomes something they naturally continue using year after year.
That’s why so many owners still have theirs long after the excitement of the initial purchase has worn off.
It simply becomes part of how their household operates.
What Is Active Hydrogen?
Active hydrogen is one of the features people are often referring to when they talk about Kangen Water, but it’s also one of the most misunderstood.
When a Leveluk machine electrolyses suitable tap water, it produces alkaline electrolysed reduced water. During this process, molecular hydrogen (H₂) is generated and dissolved into the water.
Many distributors refer to this dissolved molecular hydrogen as “active hydrogen.”
Why does that matter?
Over the past two decades, molecular hydrogen has become the subject of a growing body of scientific research. Researchers have investigated its potential antioxidant properties and whether it may help reduce oxidative stress in certain situations. While the research is promising and continues to grow, scientists are still studying exactly where molecular hydrogen may be beneficial and for whom.
It’s important to separate research from claims.
Owning a Kangen Water machine does not guarantee a medical outcome, cure a disease or replace professional healthcare. Anyone looking for medical advice should always speak with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
What I can say is that many people—including myself—find the research into molecular hydrogen fascinating, and it’s one of the reasons I became interested in learning more about the technology behind Enagic’s machines.
If you’re researching Kangen Water, I’d encourage you to read the published studies on molecular hydrogen yourself rather than relying solely on marketing claims or negative opinions online.
One thing I’ve learnt is that understanding the technology behind the machine gives you a far better perspective than simply reading headlines or comments on the internet.
Who Is Brodie Salnitro?
I’m an Australian entrepreneur, husband, father and online business mentor who has spent almost a decade helping people learn the skills required to build businesses online.
But that’s only part of the story.
Long before I built a successful business, my life looked very different.
I left home as a teenager, struggled with drug addiction, spent time in prison, worked low-paying jobs and tried countless business ideas that failed before I ever found something that worked.
When I discovered Enagic, I wasn’t looking for an easy way to make money.
I was looking for an opportunity that could eventually give me more control over my time, my future and the life I wanted to build for my family.
It didn’t happen overnight.
I started with no audience, no sales experience, no marketing background and no social media following.
Everything I’ve built has come through learning, making mistakes, staying consistent and continuing when many people around me thought I should quit.
Today I spend most of my time helping people understand modern online business, creating educational content and mentoring those who genuinely want to develop new skills.
I’m not interested in convincing everyone.
I’m interested in helping the right people make informed decisions based on real information—not hype.
If there’s one thing I hope people take away after learning about me, it’s this:
Your past doesn’t have to determine your future, but your willingness to keep learning probably will.
What Does Brodie Salnitro Actually Do?
The simplest answer is that I help people learn the skills required to build an online business.
That includes education around branding, communication, sales, social media, AI tools, leadership and personal development.
I also work with people who are interested in Enagic’s products and business model, helping them understand how the company operates and what building a real business actually involves.
One of the biggest misconceptions about what I do is that I “sell water machines.”
That’s a very small part of the picture.
Most of my time is spent creating educational content, mentoring people, answering questions, hosting team trainings, interviewing successful business owners and building resources that help people make informed decisions.
Whether someone decides to purchase a product, build a business or simply take ideas from my content and apply them elsewhere doesn’t change why I create it.
I believe the skills people develop—communication, marketing, branding, sales, leadership and resilience—have value far beyond any one company.
Those are skills that can serve someone for the rest of their life.
For me, the product may introduce someone to the opportunity—but it’s the skills they develop that have the greatest long-term value.
What Is Brodie Salnitro's Background?
I didn’t come from an entrepreneurial family.
I didn’t have a university degree.
I didn’t grow up with money or business connections.
My early life was difficult.
I was removed from my mother when I was very young, struggled throughout school, left home at sixteen, battled addiction and eventually spent time in prison during my twenties.
Looking back, it’s easy to see how those experiences could have defined the rest of my life.
Fortunately, they didn’t.
After prison I became determined to build something different.
I worked a range of ordinary jobs, including cleaning construction sites, personal training and running several small businesses that never really took off.
Like many first-time entrepreneurs, I experienced far more failure than success in those early years.
Everything changed when I stopped searching for shortcuts and committed to learning from people who had already achieved the results I wanted.
That decision completely changed the direction of my life.
Today I don’t share my background because I’m proud of every decision I made.
I share it because I want people to know that your starting point doesn’t have to be your destination.
My story isn’t really about business. It’s about what can happen when someone finally decides to become responsible for their own future.
Is Brodie Salnitro Legitimate?
I understand why people ask this question.
Whenever someone builds a public profile online—especially in an industry like direct sales or online business—people naturally want to know whether they can be trusted.
I think that’s a healthy question to ask.
Rather than asking you to simply take my word for it, I’ve tried to build this website around transparency.
You’ll find long-form interviews with people I’ve worked with.
You’ll hear directly from customers and business owners.
You’ll see my background, my philosophy and the way I think about business.
You’ll also find answers to difficult questions—not just the easy ones.
I’ve never claimed this business is easy.
I’ve never claimed everyone succeeds.
In fact, I regularly say the opposite.
Like any business, some people build something meaningful while others decide it’s not for them.
My role isn’t to promise outcomes.
It’s to help people understand the opportunity, develop valuable skills and make informed decisions based on facts rather than emotion.
Ultimately, whether you consider me legitimate shouldn’t depend on one website or one video.
Do your research.
Read widely.
Watch my content.
Listen to people who’ve worked with me.
Then decide for yourself.
Trust shouldn’t be demanded. It should be earned over time through consistency, honesty and the willingness to answer difficult questions.
What Does Brodie Salnitro Believe?
Over the years, my beliefs about success have changed dramatically.
When I was younger, I thought success was mostly about making money.
Today I see money as a by-product of becoming valuable.
The things I value most are family, freedom, health, personal responsibility and continual growth.
I believe almost anyone can learn new skills if they’re prepared to stay humble long enough to be a beginner.
I believe building a business changes the person far more than it changes the bank account—at least in the beginning.
I believe most people quit far too early, not because the opportunity failed them, but because they underestimated how much patience and persistence success requires.
I also believe no company, mentor or product can replace personal responsibility.
The right opportunity matters.
The right mentorship matters.
But eventually every person has to decide whether they’re willing to show up consistently when nobody is watching.
That’s where lasting success is built.
If people remember one thing about me, I hope it’s not my business results.
I hope they remember that I encouraged them to think independently, take ownership of their future and become someone capable of creating opportunities rather than waiting for them.
At the end of the day, I don’t believe success belongs to the smartest person in the room. I believe it usually belongs to the person who keeps showing up long after everyone else has stopped.
Why do some people call you Brodie Nitro instead of Brodie Salnitro?
Brodie Salnitro is my full name, while Brodie Nitro is simply the name I’ve used across social media for years. “Nitro” is a shortened version of my surname that people naturally started calling me. My Instagram, YouTube and website all use Brodie Nitro, while many articles and interviews use my full name, Brodie Salnitro. They’re the same person.
Can beginners succeed with Enagic?
Yes—because every successful Enagic distributor started as a beginner.
When I started, I had no real online-business experience, no established audience, no Instagram following and no long history in sales. I didn’t know exactly what I was doing. I simply knew I wanted more control over my time and I was prepared to learn from people who had already created the kind of result I wanted.
That is the part many people misunderstand.
You do not need to begin as an expert in social media, branding, communication, AI or sales. You do need to begin with enough humility and hunger to learn those skills properly.
Inside the Online Empires community, beginners can access structured training, weekly team meetings, Zoom calls, live events and direct support. But access to training is not the same as applying it. The person still has to watch the lessons, practise what they learn, ask questions when they are confused and continue long enough to improve.
I have watched complete beginners become confident communicators, capable marketers, leaders and business owners because their reason for changing was stronger than their discomfort around learning.
Anyone can begin.
Not everyone will follow through.
That is the honest distinction.
Beginners are not disadvantaged because they are new. They are disadvantaged only when they expect to remain beginners without putting in the repetitions required to improve.
Do I need sales experience to build an Enagic business?
No. You do not need prior sales experience to begin.
But you should be willing to learn how to communicate value, understand another person’s needs, answer questions honestly and help people make informed decisions.
A lot of people hear the word “sales” and imagine pressure, manipulation or persuading someone to buy something they do not want. That is not the kind of sales process I teach.
Good sales is largely communication.
It means:
- listening properly;
- understanding what someone is looking for;
- explaining the products and business model clearly;
- answering concerns without becoming defensive;
- and being willing to tell someone when the opportunity is not suitable for them.
Inside Online Empires, we provide scripts, examples, training videos and support around sales conversations so a beginner is not left trying to invent everything alone. Over time, the goal is not to sound scripted. The goal is to understand the information well enough that you can speak naturally, accurately and confidently.
Sales is one of the most valuable skills anyone can develop because it applies far beyond Enagic. It can improve negotiation, leadership, business development, communication and even the way you explain your own ideas.
You do not need to be naturally charismatic.
You do not need to be an extrovert.
You need to care enough to learn.
You do not have to be good at sales before you start—but if you want to become successful, you must become better at communicating than you were when you began.
Do I need a large social media following to succeed with Enagic?
No.
A large following can create visibility, but it is not the same thing as having a profitable business.
When I started, I did not have a meaningful audience. I had to learn how to create content, use paid advertising, communicate with strangers, build trust and explain what I was doing in a way that made sense.
Some people with very small audiences create strong businesses because they understand how to reach the right people, communicate clearly and follow up consistently. Other people have tens of thousands of followers but do not know how to turn attention into genuine conversations or customers.
The skill is not “becoming famous.”
The skill is learning how to:
- identify the type of person you want to help;
- create content or advertising that speaks to them;
- start conversations without being pushy;
- build a clear personal brand;
- and provide useful information consistently.
Social media is simply a tool.
You do not need thousands of people watching you.
You need the right people understanding you.
That is why we train branding, content creation, AI, communication, lead generation and sales as separate skills. A person can begin with an empty profile and gradually build an online presence that reflects who they are, what they stand for and who they want to serve.
You do not need a large audience. You need the ability to earn trust with the audience you reach.
How long does it take to build an Enagic business?
There is no honest timeline that applies to everyone.
Some people make an early sale. Others take several months. Some build steadily over years. Some never create meaningful financial results because they do not apply the training consistently, they stop too early or they discover the business is not the right fit for them.
That is normal in business.
A person’s timeline can be influenced by:
- how many hours they consistently invest;
- their willingness to ask for help;
- how quickly they apply feedback;
- their confidence and communication skills;
- their previous experience;
- the quality of their marketing;
- and how long they remain committed when results are slow.
I would be very cautious of anyone promising that you will earn a particular amount within a fixed number of days. Your mentor cannot control how you show up, how quickly you learn or how the market responds.
What I can say is that if someone spends six to twelve months genuinely engaging with the training, attending calls, practising content, learning sales and asking good questions, that person should not be the same person they were at the beginning.
Their confidence should improve.
Their communication should improve.
Their understanding of online business should improve.
Whether their income changes at the same speed is impossible to guarantee.
The better question is not “How quickly will this pay me?” It is “How long am I genuinely willing to develop the skills that make an online business valuable?”
Why do some people succeed with Enagic while others quit?
People often want a complicated answer, but most of the time the difference is found in ordinary behaviour repeated for long enough.
The people I see succeed usually:
- show up consistently;
- ask questions;
- watch the training;
- apply feedback;
- learn the products;
- practise communication;
- improve their content;
- and continue when the early excitement disappears.
The people who quit often do the opposite.
They may purchase the products and assume that investing alone should create a financial result. They watch part of the training, post a few times, speak to a handful of people and become discouraged when the business does not immediately reward them.
That does not necessarily make them lazy or dishonest. Sometimes their expectations were unrealistic. Sometimes their personal circumstances changed. Sometimes the opportunity simply was not right for them.
But it also does not mean the company was a scam.
A business vehicle can be legitimate while an individual fails to make it work. Those two facts can exist at the same time.
When I started, I decided to focus on the people who had created the result I wanted. I studied what they did, modelled their actions and accepted that I would need to change.
That mindset mattered enormously.
The business does not reward the person who merely buys in. It rewards the person who keeps becoming more skilled, useful and consistent.
What skills will I actually learn while building an Enagic business?
When someone builds with me through the Online Empires platform, the goal is not simply to teach them how to share one product.
The goal is to help them develop a modern online-business skill set.
That can include:
Social media and content creation
Learning how to communicate ideas clearly, create content that speaks to a particular audience and build trust online without pretending to be someone you are not.
Personal branding
Understanding what you stand for, who you want to help and how to present your message consistently across social media, video and written content.
AI tools
Learning how to use AI for research, content planning, writing assistance, idea generation, customer communication and improving business efficiency—without losing your own voice.
Sales and communication
Learning how to ask better questions, listen properly, explain value, address concerns and help people make informed decisions without pressure.
Marketing and lead generation
Understanding how to attract interest through organic content, paid advertising or other forms of outreach.
Leadership and team building
Learning how to support beginners, communicate expectations, create culture and help other people become more capable rather than dependent.
Mindset and emotional resilience
Learning how to handle rejection, uncertainty, slow periods, criticism and the opinions of people who do not understand what you are building.
These skills can be extremely valuable, but only when they are practised.
Watching one training module will not make someone a master marketer. Posting twice will not build a brand. Using AI once will not make someone efficient.
The opportunity is that you can learn these skills while building something real, surrounded by people who are also developing them.
Even if your eventual path changes, the skills you genuinely master can open doors far beyond one company or one business model.
What happens if I buy an Enagic machine but never build the business?
Then you remain a product owner.
The business opportunity is available, but nobody is required to build it.
You still own a premium Japanese water-ionisation system that can produce multiple water settings for drinking, food preparation, beauty routines and selected household uses when operated according to Enagic’s instructions.
You also retain your distributor identification, subject to the company’s applicable rules, which means you may decide to learn and build later rather than immediately.
What I would strongly encourage is that you do not buy the machine and then leave it in the box.
Learn how it works.
Set it up correctly.
Understand the different settings.
Follow the maintenance instructions.
Use the product consistently.
Some of the harshest opinions online come from people who never properly used the product, never completed the training and never genuinely attempted to build the business. Their disappointment may still be real, but it does not necessarily represent what the product or opportunity could have been if used and approached properly.
If you never make a sale, you will not earn business income. That is the truth of direct sales.
But the product does not disappear simply because the business was not built.
You still have what you purchased.
The machine is the product. The business is the possibility. What you do with either one is ultimately your responsibility.
How do I know if this opportunity is actually right for me?
My Answer
This is probably the most important question on this entire website.
And the honest answer is…
It isn’t right for everyone.
If you’re looking for something where you can sign up today, do almost nothing and expect to make great money in a few weeks, I genuinely don’t think this is the right fit.
This is a real business.
That means you’re going to have to learn new skills, become comfortable being uncomfortable, and continue showing up long after the excitement of getting started has worn off.
On the other hand, if you’re someone who already understands delayed gratification…
If you’re prepared to learn social media, branding, AI, communication and sales…
If you’re willing to ask questions, take feedback and keep improving…
Then I believe this business can become one of the greatest personal development journeys you’ll ever go on.
One thing I’ve learnt over the years is that the biggest transformation usually isn’t financial.
It’s personal.
I’ve watched people who were terrified to record a 30-second video eventually become confident leaders.
I’ve watched people who had never made a sale in their life learn how to communicate with confidence.
I’ve watched ordinary mums and dads build friendships, communities and businesses they never imagined were possible.
The business simply gave them a reason to become someone they didn’t know they could become.
That’s why I don’t spend much time trying to convince people to join.
I’d rather help people understand exactly what this opportunity is—and what it isn’t.
If, after doing your research, you genuinely feel excited about learning these skills and building something over time, then I’d love to help you.
If not, that’s completely okay too.
I’d rather someone say no after making an informed decision than say yes for the wrong reasons.
At the end of the day, I don’t believe this opportunity changes everyone’s life. I believe it changes the lives of the people who are willing to change themselves.

What Would You Do Differently If You Were Starting Your Enagic Business Today?
Knowing what I know now, I would have gone all in much sooner.
Not recklessly—but with far less doubt.
When I first started, I spent too much time worrying about what other people might think. Friends questioned it. Family questioned it. People who had never built a business online had opinions about why it wouldn’t work. Looking back, I gave those opinions far more weight than they deserved.
Today I realise something simple.
Most people aren’t trying to protect your future—they’re trying to protect you from uncertainty based on their own experiences and beliefs.
If I could start again, I would stop worrying about convincing everyone around me and focus entirely on becoming better every single day.
I’d learn social media faster.
I’d embrace AI sooner.
I’d ask more questions.
I’d make more videos.
I’d speak to more people.
I’d stop trying to be perfect before taking action.
Most importantly, I’d remember that building a business isn’t about finding the perfect opportunity. It’s about becoming the kind of person who can make an opportunity work.
The products didn’t magically change my life.
The company didn’t magically change my life.
I changed.
The business simply gave me a vehicle worth committing to.
Looking back after almost a decade, I wouldn’t change the decision to start.
If anything, I only wish I’d trusted myself sooner.
The biggest risk wasn’t saying yes. The biggest risk would have been spending the next ten years wondering, “What if I’d actually given it everything I had?”
Can I Build an Enagic Business Part-Time While Working Full-Time?
Absolutely.
In fact, that’s exactly how many people begin.
One of the things I love most about this business is that it doesn’t require you to quit your job on day one or take unnecessary financial risks.
You can start where you are.
For many people, that might look like spending one or two focused hours each evening learning the skills that make an online business successful.
That time might be spent:
- watching the team training;
- improving your social media content;
- learning AI tools;
- having conversations with people;
- attending weekly team calls;
- asking questions;
- or simply becoming a little better than you were yesterday.
As your skills improve, your confidence grows.
As your confidence grows, your ability to create value improves.
And if your business eventually reaches the point where it consistently produces meaningful income, you then have the freedom to decide whether reducing your work hours—or even leaving your job—is the right decision for you.
That’s an important distinction.
This business isn’t about escaping work.
It’s about creating options.
Whether you build it one hour a day or full-time is entirely your choice.
You’re not paid based on the number of hours you clock.
You’re rewarded for the value you create and the skills you develop.
That’s one of the reasons I believe this business appeals to so many providers.
It allows them to build something meaningful around the life they’re already living, rather than having to put everything at risk before they’ve even learnt the fundamentals.
The goal isn’t to quit your job as quickly as possible. The goal is to build enough skill and confidence that one day, if you choose to, you’ll have the freedom to decide.
What Made You Stay With Enagic For Almost 10 Years Instead Of Moving To Another Opportunity?
People ask me this all the time.
In an industry where new opportunities seem to appear every month, why stay with the same company for almost a decade?
The answer has changed over the years.
In the beginning, it was the possibility.
I saw ordinary people creating extraordinary lives, and I wanted to know what they knew.
Then it became the products.
The more I learnt about the technology, the Japanese manufacturing philosophy and the different ways our family used the machines every day, the more confidence I developed in what I was sharing.
But today, if I’m completely honest…
It’s the people.
Some of my closest friends are people I met through this business.
People I’ve travelled the world with.
People who’ve stayed in my home.
People who’ve supported my family, and who I’ve had the privilege of supporting in return.
Watching someone go from doubting themselves to becoming confident, capable and successful never gets old.
That’s probably my favourite part of what I do.
I also believe something that becomes more obvious with age.
There will always be another opportunity.
Another trend.
Another company promising faster results.
But constantly chasing the next shiny object rarely builds anything meaningful.
Depth usually beats novelty.
I’d rather spend ten years becoming exceptional at one thing than spend ten years starting over every twelve months.
Today I still believe in the products.
I still believe in the business model.
I still believe in the skills people develop.
But more than anything, I believe in the community we’ve built together.
I’ll still be here years from now, helping people who are prepared to do the work, celebrating their milestones and continuing to grow alongside them.
The products introduced me to Enagic. The people are the reason I’ve stayed.
Still have a question?
I’d rather answer your question honestly than have you make a decision based only on rumours, headlines or secondhand opinions.
Because that 1 thing can change everything.
